TBG 33: Premier League Boxing Day Special 2016 - Year End Soccer Roundup

This is our Boxing Day Special. After watching all the Premier League Boxing Day matches, we stepped into the studio to talk about those games, and wrap up the soccer year so far.

Since this was our first Boxing Day Special, Blake decided to go big with the Christmas beers. They are all from Belgium, they are all delicious, and they will all keep you warm on a cold night.

The first was the Christmas Ale from St. Bernardus, followed by the Gouden Carolus Noël, and we finished off with the Scaldis Noël from Dubuisson. There was a lot of good discussion about these beers (and good discussion BECAUSE of these beers).

We hope you all have had a happy holiday season. Thanks for joining us along the way. Here's to 2017!

Cheers!

TBG 31: Premier League Week 15 and 16 | MLS Cup 2016

Ron is all the way in Roatan, Honduras, but that doesn't stop us from talking about week 15 and 16 of English Premier League soccer. Once we pulled Ron away from the waves and drink on the beach, he also joined us for a chat about the 2016 MLS Cup Final.

For our beer of the pod, and in honor of the holidays and Blake's excitement about the new Star Wars film, we went Rogue! Santa's Private Reserve Ale from Rogue Ales.

ps. Here is a slide show of Ferris trying to do the show as Blake's dog Tucker demands attention.

TBG 30: Premier League Week 14 - El Clasico & MLS Cup Final Preview

This is a fun episode, and we laugh more than we ever have in a show before. Week 14 of the English Premier League was good one, El Clasico was great, and we also talk about the upcoming MLS Cup Final between Toronto FC and the Seattle Sounders.

Maybe it was Ferris deciding to go with two beers that had us finding everything way too funny. His first choice was the official beer of the current table leaders, Chelsea. It's lager from Thailand called Singha.

After striking up a conversion with comic book writer Pete Rogers on Twitter about attending AFC Bournemouth's Summer Soccer Camp and reading monthly football comic books in the UK , Ferris put it all together with his next choice. The Defender IPA from Brooklyn Brewery. The official beer of New York Comic Con.

You can check out some of Pete's comic work and where to find it HERE. You'll even find one he wrote called Fame: David Beckham.

As always, thanks so much for listening to us chatting soccer and laughing way too much. If you enjoy the show, please subscribe to us on iTunes and leave a rating.

TBG 29: Premier League Week 12 & 13 - Bruce Arena Back at U.S. Soccer

After a Thanksgiving break, we return to discuss Premier League soccer, as well as covering Bruce Arena again taking the helm of the men's United States Soccer Team.

Ron was in charge of the beer for this one, and he made up for us missing a week by going with a three course episode.

We tried beers from Dogfish Brewery, Lost Coast Brewery, and also a beer called Pork Slap. We have...thoughts about that last one.

TBG 27: Premier League Week 11 - MLS Playoffs - USA vs Mexico

In this show, we wrap up week 11 of the Premier League. A week that saw several goals scored by a just a few teams. Which is a good thing, because some of the matches were nap inducing. (We're looking at you, King Power-nap Stadium). We also look at MLS Cup Playoffs and have a discussion about the USMNT roster going into USA vs Mexico.

Our beer review of the pod came to us from Lazy Magnolia Brewery, the oldest brewery in Mississippi.
